Por ello, uno de los objetivos ha sido el estudiar a escala de laboratorio las condiciones optimas de un tratamiento terciario biologico con biomasa autotrofica y la evaluacion de la calidad sanitaria del efluente procedente de este tratamiento comparandolo con la calidad de los efluentes procedentes de los tratamientos primario y secundario. De los resultados obtenidos se concluye que este tipo de tratamiento terciario biologico, mejora la calidad sanitaria y ecologica de los vertidos con un coste menor que los tratamientos terciarios
