El ganador de este encuentro fue hayek. Sin embargo, cuatro a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s keynes publico su famosa the general theory of employment,interest and money(1936)  y hayek decidi\u00f3 no iniciar un nuevo debate sobre esta obra. Esta decisi\u00f3n  siempre ha desconcertado a los historiadores del pensamiento econ\u00f3mico.
