La hip\u00f3tesis que se establece al inicio de la investigaci\u00f3n es que existe un hueco entre la adopci\u00f3n de nuevos canale s de comunicaci\u00f3n por parte de las empresas y la adecuaci\u00f3n de los mismos con las necesidades comunicativas de sus clientes. La investigaci\u00f3n se centra en analizar las decisiones que llevan a la empresa a adoptar nuevos canales de comunicaci\u00f3n y c\u00f3mo  la adopci\u00f3n de un nuevo canal afecta a los ya existentes y, en general, a la comunicaci\u00f3n de la empresa con sus clientes. Por otro lado, se tiene en cuenta al cliente de una forma global: como consumidor de productos y servicios, como receptor de co municaci\u00f3n y como usuario de tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n. Una vez creado el marco te\u00f3rico, se estudia el proceso de adopci\u00f3n, difusi\u00f3n y uso de tecnolog\u00eda en una empresa real bancaria espa\u00f1ola.
