Legu\u00eda  (1919 -1930) como un momento clave dentro de la historia republicana  en  que  se  dio  un  intento  racional,  arm\u00f3nico  y  funcional  para  el  desarrollo  de  la  ciudad  de  lima  metropolitana.  Una  primera  parte  de  antecedentes  se  remontan  a  la  demolici\u00f3n  de  las  murallas  de  lima,  abarcando las propuestas de modernizaci\u00f3n de la ciudad hasta el inicio  de  1919.  La  propuesta  de  la  \u00abpatria  nueva\u00bb,  el  discurso  pol\u00edtico  y  econ\u00f3mico  del  gobierno  del  oncenio,  es  el  sustento  clave  de  la  concepci\u00f3n de un proyecto urbano y de producci\u00f3n art\u00edstica escult\u00f3rica  y paisaj\u00edstica, concentrada, mayormente, en el estilo neo peruano.      la autora incluye un registro pormenorizado de todos los monumentos  en  espacios  p\u00fablicos  de  la  \u00e9poca,  analizando  tendencias,  estilos,  y  contextos en la ciudad y su entorno, as\u00ed como una tipolog\u00eda de parques,  plazas, alamedas, avenidas y dem\u00e1s espacios p\u00fablicos. La pertinencia de  la investigaci\u00f3n va mas all\u00e1 de cubrir vac\u00edos en la investigaci\u00f3n del tema  y exponer logros y contradicciones del proyecto urban\u00edstico y de ornato,
