La principal motivaci\u00f3n para el desarrollo de este tema ha sido la constataci\u00f3n de que el gran auge experimentado en la aplicaci\u00f3n de los algoritmos evolutivos en problemas reales cada vez m\u00e1s complejos ha implicado el desarrollo de nuevas t\u00e9cnicas m\u00e1s avanzadas y con mejores resultados pero, sin embargo, este gran nivel de actividad no ha venido acompa\u00f1ado de un an\u00e1lisis formal de dichas t\u00e9cnicas. En consecuencia, actualmente los usuarios de algoritmos evolutivos no expertos en el campo poseen gran cantidad de opciones y variantes de los mismos, pero carecen de informaci\u00f3n objetiva sobre el \u00e1mbito de aplicaci\u00f3n de cada una de ellos.  en este trabajo se ha llevado a cabo una primera aproximaci\u00f3n al desarrollo de un procedimiento de caracterizaci\u00f3n formal destinado a los dise\u00f1adores de algoritmos evolutivos para que, a la hora de presentar sus trabajos a la comunidad cient\u00edfica, utilicen una metodolog\u00eda com\u00fan que posibilite la caracterizaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica del algoritmo desde un punto de vista totalmente objetivo y con conclusiones que sean f\u00e1cilmente utilizables por parte de los
