Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Phytomonas spp. Son parasitos de plantas, pertenecientes a la familia trypanosomatidae. Dichos protozoos flagelados son responsables de importancia perdidas economicas principalmente en cultivos tropicales del continente americano (cocotero, cafetales).  recientemente han sido detectados en cultivos subtropicales del sur de espa\u00f1a, en la presente memoria se ha abordado el estudio de estos nuevos aislados. Tras un estudio epidemiologico llevado a cabo en las provincias de granada, malaga y almeria, hemos conseguido aislar y cultivar de frutos de tomate y chirimoyo, tripanosomatidos de plantas.
