Estos sistemas denominados snedds (self-nanoemulsified drug delivery systems) constituir\u00edan una eventual alternativa a las formas de gemfibrozilo actualmente comercializadas (comprimidos y c\u00e1psulas de gelatina dura). Las bases autoemulgentes se han preparado a partir de los siguientes excipientes: aceite esencial de lim\u00f3n, polyoxyl 35 castor oil que es un tensioactivo no i\u00f3nico (cremophor el\u00c2\u00ae) y un cotensioactivo (capmul\u00c2\u00ae mcm c8). Para establecer las posibles combinaciones de factores (componentes de la f\u00f3rmula) y sus niveles (cantidad) se ha utilizado dise\u00f1os box-behnken de 3 factores y 3 niveles con tres repeticiones en el punto central. Se han caracterizado desde el punto de vista fisicoqu\u00edmico tanto las mezclas con y sin principio activos como las dispersiones acuosas resultantes. La optimizaci\u00f3n de las formulaciones se ha realizado mediante el m\u00e9todo de superficie de respuesta a trav\u00e9s de los siguientes par\u00e1metros anal\u00edticos: caracter\u00edsticas organol\u00e9pticas de los snedds, aspecto, turbidez, tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula e \u00edndice de polidispersi\u00f3n de las emulsiones resultantes as\u00ed como porcentaje de gemfibrozilo disuelto. La f\u00f3rmula optimizada se ha dosificado en c\u00e1psulas de gelatina dura de tama\u00f1o 00, con recubrimiento ent\u00e9rico. Los ensayos de disoluci\u00f3n de dichas c\u00e1psulas gastrorresistentes de snedds de gemfibrozilo as\u00ed como de los comprimidos gen\u00e9ricos de referencia se han realizado a ph 7.5. Se han comparado los par\u00e1metros cin\u00e9ticos de liberaci\u00f3n del f\u00e1rmaco a partir de estas dos formas de dosificaci\u00f3n del gemfibrozilo. En el caso de las c\u00e1psulas experimentales se ha valorado el gemfibrozilo liberado mediante un m\u00e9todo espectrofluorim\u00e9trico desarrollado para este prop\u00f3sito que demostr\u00f3 ser exacto y preciso. En el caso de los comprimidos de referencia se ha utilizado el m\u00e9todo espectrofotom\u00e9trico recomendado por la usp 29. Se han encontrado diferencias significativas en cuanto al perfil de liberaci\u00f3n del principio activo a partir de ambas formulaciones, en particular en la eficiencia de disoluci\u00f3n a favor de
