Durante 4 a\u00f1os se han llevado a cabo experimentos de campo en un vertisol de la campi\u00f1a andaluza para determinar el efecto del sistema de laboreo en el crecimiento y desarrollo radicular del trigo y las habas cultivados en una cont\u00ednua rotaci\u00f3n bianual, dentro del marco de un experimento de larga duraci\u00f3n llamado malag\u00f3n que fue iniciado en 1986. Los tratamientos fueron no laboreo (nl) y laboreo convencional (lc), utiliz\u00e1ndose un dise\u00f1o de bloques al azar con 3 repeticiones. Las determinaciones se llevaron a cabo hasta la profundidad de 1 m de suelo mediante dos m\u00e9todos de estudio radicular: manual y minirhizotron. Se determinaron los par\u00e1metros siguientes: longitud, densidad, biomasa y di\u00e1metro radicular, biomasa a\u00e9rea, rendimiento de grano y componentes de rendimiento. El mayor rendimiento de trigo fue registrado en el nl, debido a que \u00e9ste almacen\u00f3 m\u00e1s agua en el perfil de suelo en los a\u00f1os mayoritariamente secos del estudio. La densidad y la biomasa radicular del trigo obtenidas mediante el m\u00e9todo manual en el lc fueron mayores que en el nl, s\u00f3lo en los primeros 10 cm de suelo. Sin embargo, mediante el m\u00e9todo del minirhizotron el desarrollo del sistema radicular de trigo y habas fue m\u00e1s favorable en el nl en comparaci\u00f3n con el lc; lo cual podr\u00eda atribuirse a la mejora de las propiedades f\u00edsicas del suelo inducidas por el nl, las cuales dan lugar a un mayor almacenamiento de agua.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
