En la introduccion general al estudio se plantea la persectiva teorica desde la que se acomete la investigacion: una semiotica de orientacion pragmatica y que concibe su objeto de estudio como integrado en una \u00ablogica de la cultura\u00bb. En el capitulo i se estudia el desarrollo historico de la poesia concreto-visual en espa\u00f1a y se discute cual es la denominacion mas apropiada para referirse a estas practicas esteticas. En el capitulo ii se describe su poetica interna, con especial atencion a los problemas de \u00abvanguardia\u00bb, \u00abexperimentalismo\u00bb, \u00ablengua supranacional\u00bb e \u00abintegracion de las artes\u00bb. La descripcion de su funcionamiento discursivo, obtenida tras un analisis semiotico de las cuestiones signicas y textuales, ocupa todo el capitulo iii. De este se deriva el sistema de nociones operativas que nos permitira en los capitulos iv y v establecer sus estrategias retoricas, tanto desde el punto de vista de \u00abla escritura\u00bb, como
