Se trata de un m\u00e9todo de optimizaci\u00f3n local basado en el gradiente que se formula matricialmente. Adem\u00e1s es susceptible de considerar diversos tipos de restricciones, definidas mediante ecuaciones de igualdad o de desigualdad. La optimizaci\u00f3n del mecanismo se plantea como la minimizaci\u00f3n de una funci\u00f3n cuadr\u00e1tica del error de s\u00edntesis. Dicho error se define como la diferencia entre los par\u00e1metros deseados para el comportamiento cinem\u00e1tico del mecanismo y los realmente generados por este. un aspecto fundamental del m\u00e9todo lo constituye la obtenci\u00f3n anal\u00edtica de la matriz jacobiana del error de s\u00edntesis respecto de las variables de dise\u00f1o. Dicha determinaci\u00f3n se realiza a trav\u00e9s de las ecuaciones de restricci\u00f3n del problema, y constituye una caracter\u00edstica destacable del m\u00e9todo. Adem\u00e1s de presentar ventajas num\u00e9ricas, respecto de su obtenci\u00f3n mediante aproximaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica, permite considerar de forma autom\u00e1tica, restricciones adicionales sobre las variables de dise\u00f1o.  una vez establecida la metodolog\u00eda general, se desarrollan los algoritmos para la resoluci\u00f3n de los tres problemas de s\u00edntesis cinem\u00e1tica citados y
