expatriaci\u00f3n de directivos portugueses es un fen\u00f3meno en r\u00e1pida expansi\u00f3n y aun muy poco estructurado en portugal. la mayoria de las empresas portuguesas adopta soluciones casu\u00edsticas,no teniendo definida una pol\u00edtica de expatriaci\u00f3n,ni criterios de reintegraci\u00f3n de sus expatriados. el estudio de caso que hacemos,teniendo como objetivo el universo de expatriados del grupo martifer,per- miti\u00f3 identificar los factore cr\u00edticos de \u00e9xito en la expatriaci\u00f3n,para este universo,que s\u00e9ran aplicables con ada- ptaciones a la generalidad de los expatriados portugueses. los criterios de selecci\u00f3n de los expatriados,su acojida,orientaci\u00f3n e integraci\u00f3n a la llegada al pa\u00eds de destino,el acompa\u00f1amiento de su actuaci\u00f3n,a lo largo del a\u00f1o,la existencia de una evaluaci\u00f3n de desempe\u00f1o justa y objetiva,la composici\u00f3n de su paquete remuneratorio y las practicas de reintegraci\u00f3n en la empresa madre y de gesti\u00f3n de carrera del ex-expatriado surgen como factores clave para una expatriaci\u00f3n exitosa. siendo la expatriaci\u00f3n una soluci\u00f3n dispendiosa,a la que las empresas solo recurren cuando es indispensable,es fundamental que lo hagan y que gestionen a sus colaboradores colocados en el extranjero de manera que garantice una elevada tasa de \u00e9xito. esta investigaci\u00f3n da una contribuci\u00f3n a la identificaci\u00f3n de las mejores practicas a seguir por empresas portuguesas en la gesti\u00f3n de sus directivos
