Los principales hallazg os de este trabajo han sido: 1) la prote\u00edna swi1, altamente conservada en eucariotas, juega un papel central en la prevenci\u00f3n de la inestabilidad del rdna, evitando la colisi\u00f3n entre replicaci\u00f3n y transcripci\u00f3n, al participar en la parada de las horq uillas replicativas en las barreras naturales del rdna y, seguramente tambi\u00e9n, debido a su funci\u00f3n en checkpoint; 2) la prote\u00edna de reparaci\u00f3n rad22 se acumula en ausencia de swi1 en la regi\u00f3n de las barreras, lo cual sugiere que podr\u00eda ser necesaria  para la inestabilizaci\u00f3n; 3) las barreras naturales juegan el papel de promover la recombinaci\u00f3n hom\u00f3loga asim\u00e9trica en el rdna para restablecer el n\u00famero \u00f3ptimo de genes rrna presentes en la c\u00e9lula; 4) la prote\u00edna de checkpoint cds1 tambi\u00e9n impide la inestabilizaci\u00f3n del rdna de forma que, aunque su activaci\u00f3n es mediada por swi1, ambas prote\u00ednas act\u00faan por distintas vias; 5) la desacetilasa de histona hst4 act\u00faa como silenciador de la transcripci\u00f3n en el espaciador del rdna, a trav\u00e9s de la mo dificaci\u00f3n de la configuraci\u00f3n de la cromatina, y determina el sentido de la recombinaci\u00f3n hom\u00f3loga asim\u00e9trica bajo condiciones de alta inestabilidad del rdna.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
