{"id":107666,"date":"2018-03-11T10:32:06","date_gmt":"2018-03-11T10:32:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/sin-categoria\/localized-states-and-collective-excitations-in-semiconductor-nanostructures\/"},"modified":"2018-03-11T10:32:06","modified_gmt":"2018-03-11T10:32:06","slug":"localized-states-and-collective-excitations-in-semiconductor-nanostructures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/barcelona\/localized-states-and-collective-excitations-in-semiconductor-nanostructures\/","title":{"rendered":"Localized states and collective excitations in semiconductor nanostructures"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Tesis doctoral de <strong> Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Escart\u00edn Esteban <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En esta tesis, se ha demostrado que anillos cu\u00e1nticos dobles conc\u00e9ntricos (cdqr, de sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), sometidos a campos magn\u00e9ticos transversales al plano de movimiento de los electrones, y cargados con pocos de \u00e9stos, albergan estados isom\u00e9ricos metaestables casi degenerados, cuya estructura interna presenta localizaciones radiales y azimutales en cada uno de los anillos constituyentes. Adem\u00e1s, el espectro de absorci\u00f3n de estos estados muestra modos de excitaci\u00f3n muy blandos, a energ\u00edas similares a la energ\u00eda de excitaci\u00f3n dipolar del rotor r\u00edgido asociado al sistema, y que deber\u00edan ser observables mediante espectroscopia de infrarrojo lejano.  adem\u00e1s, se ha estudiado la localizaci\u00f3n de electrones en cdqrs por medio de c\u00e1lculos que empleaban m\u00e9todos de la teor\u00eda del funcional de densidad (dft), concretamente la aproximaci\u00f3n local de densidad de esp\u00edn (lsda), y de diagonalizaci\u00f3n exacta. La localizaci\u00f3n tiene lugar en la densidad del sistema cuando se emplea un procedimiento lsda que no fuerza su simetr\u00eda circular, mientras que en los c\u00e1lculos de diagonalizaci\u00f3n exacta la localizaci\u00f3n tiene lugar en la densidad a dos cuerpos. Pese a ello, el acuerdo entre ambos m\u00e9todos es notorio.  por otra parte, se ha empleado la lsda para el estudio de anillos cu\u00e1nticos triples conc\u00e9ntricos (ctqr) acoplados capacitivamente, en ausencia y en presencia de campos magn\u00e9ticos transversales al plano de movimiento de los electrones. En funci\u00f3n de la intensidad de dicho campo magn\u00e9tico y de la carga de electrones del sistema, se ha caracterizado su estado fundamental y sus excitaciones dipolares, as\u00ed como el espectro de adici\u00f3n en ausencia de campo magn\u00e9tico. Tambi\u00e9n se ha calculado a dependencia de las corrientes persistentes del sistema con la intensidad del campo magn\u00e9tico, y se ha hallado una superposici\u00f3n de oscilaciones de diferentes amplitudes y periodos en la intensidad del campo magn\u00e9tico, que se ha podido interpretar a trav\u00e9s de un modelo de part\u00edculas independientes como el acoplamiento de anillos de radios
