Junto con el tutor del car, alberto ruiz, ex atleta en la especialidad de p\u00e9rtiga, buscamos informaci\u00f3n sobre el sistema de trabajo de otros pa\u00edses en este \u00e1mbito, siempre con la premisa de dar servicio. De esta manera naci\u00f3 el servicio de atenci\u00f3n al deportista (sae). En enero de 2005 comenzamos este servicio con el objetivo inicial de conocer la poblaci\u00f3n de posibles usuarios y, paralelamente, dise\u00f1ar un paquete de servicios despu\u00e9s de estudiar las necesidades formativas y de inserci\u00f3n laboral.   a partir del 2006 me plantearme la cuesti\u00f3n a que quiere dar respuesta esta tesis doctoral: podemos ayudar al deportista a mejorar su rendimiento, su desarrollo y su futura retirada de forma preventiva y prospectiva? el medio para dar una respuesta afirmativa a esta pregunta se llama: proyecto personal. Se trata de enfocar el trabajo hacia la toma de conciencia, la manera de ser m\u00e1s libres implica saber d\u00f3nde estamos ya d\u00f3nde queremos llegar. Entender la pr\u00e1ctica deportiva de alta dedicaci\u00f3n como una parte m\u00e1s de nuestro desarrollo, como un proceso en nuestro crecimiento personal. En definitiva, asumir y aceptar los cambios como parte de nuestro recorrido vital.   esta tesis quiere justificar el uso del programa \u00e9xtis como herramienta de trabajo con deportistas en
