As\u00ed pues, el objetivo primordial de esta investigaci\u00f3n ha sido escoger una l\u00ednea filos\u00f3fica -en este caso, la hermen\u00e9utica- y estudiar desde ella el pensamiento de fray luis de le\u00f3n.  desde esta perspectiva, el trabajo se divide en dos partes claramente diferenciadas. En la primera de ellas, que lleva por t\u00edtulo \u00absobre la hermen\u00e9utica\u00bb, se intenta probar que la corriente hermen\u00e9utica, adem\u00e1s de ser una teor\u00eda universal de la comprensi\u00f3n, es tambi\u00e9n una teor\u00eda filos\u00f3fica de interpretaci\u00f3n textual, de renovaci\u00f3n de fuentes cl\u00e1sicas, que tuvo un desarrollo especial en el siglo xvi. En la segunda parte, titulada \u00absobre fray luis de le\u00f3n hermeneuta\u00bb, se aplican las conclusiones del primer apartado al pensamiento general del fraile agustino, se\u00f1alando que fray luis de le\u00f3n puede concebirse como un fil\u00f3sofo hermeneuta interesado por las cuestiones filol\u00f3gicas e interpretativas. A la luz de las aportaciones de la filosof\u00eda hermen\u00e9utica, el pensamiento del maestro salmantino se manifiesta como un proceso de comprensi\u00f3n que se realiza a trav\u00e9s de la interpretaci\u00f3n de ciertos textos, en su mayor\u00eda b\u00edblicos, y queda enraizado en otros t\u00e9rminos claves como el de tradici\u00f3n, creaci\u00f3n o traducci\u00f3n.  finalmente, la tesis se cierra a modo de resumen con unos anexos en alem\u00e1n y la traducci\u00f3n de las conclusiones, para dar cumplimiento al decreto que establece la obtenci\u00f3n del doctorado
