Se demuestra que la umbralizaci\u00f3n puede tener efectos importantes sobre el error en la determinaci\u00f3n de centroides. Con ello, se propone un nuevo criterio de umbralizaci\u00f3n, el criterio que minimiza la varianza de las distribuciones de irradiancia detectadas. Los modelos permiten dise\u00f1ar sensores hs m\u00e1s precisos y exactos . Sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n se concluye que para conseguir errores peque\u00f1os en el c\u00e1lculo del centroide:   1) se ha de tener especial precauci\u00f3n con el valor del umbral elegido 2)  las distribuciones de irradiancia detectada han de tener una relaci\u00f3n se\u00f1al-ruido lo m\u00e1s elevada posible.  para conseguir distribuciones de irradiancia detectada con relaci\u00f3n se\u00f1al ruido elevada se proponen en esta tesis, elementos \u00f3pticos de profundidad de foco extendida. En particular axicones de fase con simetr\u00eda radial. se desarrollan algoritmos para su dise\u00f1o y se demuestra su aplicaci\u00f3n en la compensaci\u00f3n de la presbicia mediante visi\u00f3n simult\u00e1nea o en la triangulaci\u00f3n \u00f3ptica. Se concluye que los axicones cu\u00e1rticos y radiales de orden 8, son una soluci\u00f3n satisfactoria para presbicia moderadas o brazos de observaci\u00f3n de sensores por triangulaci\u00f3n
