Un ejemplo, que ha sido llevado a cabo en nuestro laboratorio, es la reacci\u00f3n de ciclaci\u00f3n (4+2) intramolecular de aril eninos; sin embargo s\u00f3lo existe un precedente en la literatura de la versi\u00f3n enantioselectiva de esta reacci\u00f3n.Por este motivo, uno de los objetivos de esta tesis ha sido el desarrollo de nuevos catalizadores quirales para realizar este tipo de ciclaciones, obteni\u00e9ndose un sistema catal\u00edtico de au(i) capaz de formar el producto ciclado con un exceso enantiom\u00e9rico del 88 %. los otros cap\u00edtulos de este manuscrito tratan de la aplicaci\u00f3n de reacciones catalizadas por au(i) en la s\u00edntesis de productos naturales. De este modo, se ha completado la s\u00edntesi total de la (+)-englerina.
