Concretamente, como continuacion de los estudios relativos a la aproximacion del acp a partir de datos discretos (aguilera, 1993), se aborda el problema de la consideracion de una estructura geometrica diferente de la usual de las funciones de cuadrado lesbesgue integrales.  en una primera parte, se establece como marco teorico el proporcionado por las v.A. Con valores en un espacio de hilbert. Despues de obtener algunos resultados relativos a la convergencia de los desarrollos ortogonales, la definicion de las componentes principales aparece alli como una condicion de optimalidad.  posteriormente, constituyendo el nucleo de la tesis, se obtienen resultados relativos a los cambios de geometria (producto escalar) en el espacio de las trayectorias (de hilbert) planteados en dicho marco teorico.  por ultimo, se abordan aspectos relacionados con la modelizacion de datos funcionales mediante componentes principales.
