A lo largo de cinco cap\u00edtulos la autora desarrolla la evoluci\u00f3n personal y profesional de picasso e incardina, a lo largo de esa trayectoria, la tem\u00e1tica de la danza y el baile presente en cuadros, dibujos, bocetos, ilustraciones, etc. Se establece una novedosa interpretaci\u00f3n de las se\u00f1oritas de avignon a partir de las correspondencias de esta obra con la realizada anteriormente por picasso: el har\u00e9n. El estudio iconogr\u00e1fico de la obra que constituye el origen del arte moderno est\u00e1 basado en un an\u00e1lisis comparativo de las posturas de las \u00abse\u00f1oritas\u00bb con otras obras anteriores al artista, as\u00ed como con posturas y movimientos inspirados en la danza. Especial inter\u00e9s reviste el \u00abprontuario iconogr\u00e1fico\u00bb donde se catalogan un significativo n\u00famero de piezas vinculadas a la tem\u00e1tica de la tesis y que resultan
