Para ello, se ha partido de la edici\u00f3n pr\u00edncipe (Madrid, 1669), y tras un cotejo de los testimonios de dicha comedia hemos enmendado los errores que se encuentran en los mismos. \tla edici\u00f3n cuenta con un estudio preliminar en el que se analiza la dataci\u00f3n de la pieza, la m\u00e9trica, los personajes o las notas esc\u00e9nicas. Tambi\u00e9n se aporta una breve biograf\u00eda del caballero de gracia, un sacerdote italiano que vivi\u00f3 102 a\u00f1os, as\u00ed como las aportaciones que hizo a la villa de Madrid, lugar en el que pas\u00f3 gran parte de su vida y que a\u00fan hoy conserva algunas de sus fundaciones. \tel texto de la comedia cuenta con un aparato de notas en el que se aclaran las cuestiones m\u00e1s relevantes que pudieran interesar al lector o dificultar la comprensi\u00f3n de dicho texto: chistes, juegos de palabras, personajes hist\u00f3ricos, aclaraciones de t\u00e9rminos, etc. Estas notas se localizan por el n\u00famero de verso, para mantener la limpieza del texto sin que \u00e9ste est\u00e9 plagado de notas num\u00e9ricas. Al final de la comedia hay un \u00edndice de notas, as\u00ed como un aparato de variantes, que recoge las variantes m\u00e1s significativas de los testimonios cotejados y las lecturas tomadas para esta edici\u00f3n. \tlos criterios editoriales que hemos adoptado son los aceptados por el griso (grupo de investigaci\u00f3n del siglo de oro) de la universidad de navarra. La bibliograf\u00eda se agrupa en distintas secciones: bibliograf\u00eda de los testimonios de la comedia, bibliograf\u00eda de consulta, bibliograf\u00eda primaria y bibliograf\u00eda
