Estos receptores son sistemas de cadena abierta, y una gran parte de ellos tienen la peculiaridad de ser compuestos anfif\u00edlicos geminales. No obstante, en esta tesis tambi\u00e9n se ha trabajado en la s\u00edntesis de compuestos pseudopept\u00eddicos conteniendo grupos urea. Adem\u00e1s, teniendo en cuenta la experiencia previa del grupo de investigaci\u00f3n, se ha realizado un profundo estudio de los procesos de autoasociaci\u00f3n y autoensamblaje de los sistemas preparados, con el objetivo fundamental de obtener la informaci\u00f3n que permita establecer correlaciones coherentes entre la variaci\u00f3n estructural y la naturaleza de los procesos de autoensamblaje encontrados.  el contenido de la tesis consta de una introducci\u00f3n general acerca de la qu\u00edmica supramolecular, haciendo hincapi\u00e9 en particular en aquellos aspectos de mayor inter\u00e9s para nuestro trabajo posterior, seguida de cinco cap\u00edtulos en los que se desarrollan los objetivos fundamentales de la tesis. Mientras el primero y el \u00faltimo son principalmente de car\u00e1cter sint\u00e9tico; los cap\u00edtulos dos, tres y cuatro se centran en el estudio de las aplicaciones que pueden tener los
