Todo ello contribuye a que la calidad del software sea una de los principales objetivos de los desarrolladores de programas inform\u00e1ticos. La calidad del software se describe normalmente en t\u00e9rminos de su fiabilidad, entre otros aspectos. Por fiabilidad se entiende la probabilidad de ausencia de fallos durante el funcionamiento de un producto inform\u00e1tico.  desde un punto de vista estad\u00edstico, las variables aleatorias que caracterizan la fiabilidad del software son los instantes de tiempo en los que se produce un fallo de software, as\u00ed como, los tiempos entre fallos. Uno de los objetivos principales de esta tesis es estudiar el comportamiento de dichas variables aleatorias con la ayuda del uso de \u00f3rdenes estoc\u00e1sticos.
