Doctor arquitecto (e.T.S.A.M.)   resumen (espa\u00f1ol):   esta investigaci\u00f3n es un intento de de cuestionar nuestra concepci\u00f3n actual del papel del arte en la arquitectura, y de la arquitectura moderna como una forma de arte. Mira hacia atr\u00e1s a un momento paradigm\u00e1tico de la historia reciente cuando la cuesti\u00f3n fue tratada produciendo la mayor crisis del movimiento moderno: el periodo de reconstrucci\u00f3n europea (1945-196), cuando la critica de aldo van eyck &#038; a&#038;p smithson a la tendencia racionalista de los \u00faltimos ciam desvelo el hecho de que los principios art\u00edsticos que fundamentaron el movimiento moderno estaban cayendo en el olvido. Aldo van eyck y los smithson criticaron el planteamiento de los ciam por no tener en cuenta los aspectos emocionales de la reconstrucci\u00f3n. Si los arquitectos se basaban exclusivamente en un pensamiento anal\u00edtico para resolver los aspectos materiales pasando por alto la naturaleza irracional del comportamiento humano, las ciudades se volver\u00edan lugares inhumanos. Aldo van eyck y los smithson entendieron la arquitectura moderna como una forma de arte de manera que fueron conscientes de las limitaciones de un enfoque racionalista en arquitectura. Compartieron una visi\u00f3n de la arquitectura moderna fundamentada en el arte, seg\u00fan la cual la arquitectura deb\u00eda fundamentarse en medios t\u00e9cnicos y art\u00edsticos para satisfacer tanto las necesidades materiales como las espirituales dos aspectos complementarios mezclados en la vida de cada d\u00eda. Los principios art\u00edsticos que fundamentaros la concepci\u00f3n que tanto van eyck como los smithson ten\u00edan de la arquitectura pueden ser rastreados hasta el origen del arte moderno: del dadaismo hasta el art brut.
