Aunque la mayor\u00eda de ellos son sapr\u00f3fitos, un gran n\u00famero de especies atacan plantas y animales, incluido el ser humano. Con el fin de contribuir al conocimiento de la diversidad y distribuci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica de los hongos anam\u00f3rficos, en la presente tesis se realiz\u00f3 una caracterizaci\u00f3n fenot\u00edpica y molecular de aislamientos ambientales y cl\u00ednicos de estos hongos. Mediante un estudio de [+]taxonom\u00eda polif\u00e1sica que incluy\u00f3 morfolog\u00eda, fisiolog\u00eda y an\u00e1lisis de secuencias de adn, se propusieron los siguientes nuevos taxones: cladorrhinum flexuosum, c. Microsclerotigenum, fibulochlamys chilensis, ramophialophora humicola, sporothrix brunneoviolacea, s. Dimorphospora y leptodiscella brevicatenata, todos ellos aislados desde muestras ambientales, principalmente de suelo. Un estudio filogen\u00e9tico de cepas cl\u00ednicas del g\u00e9nero sporothrix revel\u00f3 por primera vez la presencia de s. Globosa, una especie recientemente descrita, en m\u00e9xico, am\u00e9rica central (guatemala) y am\u00e9rica del sur (colombia).
