Se presenta una analog\u00eda del algoritmo pso con un sistema mec\u00e1nico formado por masa, muelle y amortiguador. Partiendo de esta analog\u00ed\u00c2\u00ada se realiza un an\u00e1lisis te\u00f3rico del algoritmo original propuesto en 1995, y se aborda el dise\u00f1o y el an\u00e1lisis de estabilidad de una nueva familia de algoritmos, as\u00ed\u00c2\u00ad como su aplicaci\u00f3n a la resoluci\u00f3n de problemas inversos. las trayectorias de las part\u00edculas se han modelizado como procesos estoc\u00e1sticos. El estudio de los sistemas din\u00e1micos asociados a los momentos de primer y segundo orden de las trayectorias de las part\u00edculas proporciona criterios para la selecci\u00f3n de los par\u00e1metros del pso (y de los dem\u00e1s miembros de la familia) para obtener una r\u00e1pida convergencia hacia el \u00f3ptimo global, as\u00ed como una adecuada exploraci\u00f3n del espacio de soluciones. Se ha realizado el dise\u00f1o y an\u00e1lisis del modelo lineal continuo, relacionando su din\u00e1mica con la del modelo discreto, que generaliza el algoritmo pso para cualquier instante y paso de tiempo. Los resultados te\u00f3ricos se han contrastado con experimentos num\u00e9ricos utilizando diferentes funciones de prueba. Basado en los resultados te\u00f3ricos y de los experimentos num\u00e9ricos se ha construido un algoritmo que utiliza una \u00abnube\u00bb de par\u00e1metros para cada miembro de la familia seleccionados en zonas de bajo error. por \u00faltimo, se han resuelto problemas de geof\u00ed\u00c2\u00adsica, hidrogeolog\u00eda e ingenier\u00ed\u00c2\u00ada de reservorios petrol\u00edferos, comprobando que los algoritmos de tipo pso poseen una velocidad de convergencia superior a la de otros algoritmos de tipo global, tales como los algoritmos gen\u00e9ticos o simulated
