Pero estos dispositivos electroqu\u00edmicos a\u00fan se enfrentan a una serie de limitaciones que influyen negativamente en su funcionamiento fiable y correcto. Por esta raz\u00f3n, el objetivo global ha sido aportar un conocimiento adicional para el desarrollo de dichas c\u00e9lulas. Para ello, en esta tesis doctoral se ha estudiado la influencia de las diferentes variables de operaci\u00f3n, el estado f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmico de la membrana polim\u00e9rica, el prensado de los electrodos, las t\u00e9cnicas de preparaci\u00f3n del mea, la estabilidad del sistema y el an\u00e1lisis de respuestas transitorias o inestables mediante un modelo de gesti\u00f3n de la humedad, con el fin de incidir en algunos aspectos limitantes de su desarrollo comercial y contribuir as\u00ed a la implantaci\u00f3n comercial de c\u00e9lulas de combustible. El an\u00e1lisis y la modelizaci\u00f3n de los fen\u00f3menos de electromigraci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de membranas polim\u00e9ricas ha permitido la mejora de los procesos electroqu\u00edmicos globales, controlando la deshidrataci\u00f3n en la zona del \u00e1nodo durante la operaci\u00f3n. Por otra parte, la rehidrataci\u00f3n de la membrana durante la operaci\u00f3n y la movilidad del agua se mejoran con el uso de membranas modificadas con s\u00edlice ya que confieren al sistema mejores propiedades, mayor conductividad i\u00f3nica a bajas humedades y reduce el efecto del arrastre electro-osm\u00f3tico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
