Esta tesis estudia los efectos que causan en el comportamiento de las c\u00e9lulas la tensi\u00f3n externa ejercida por substratos polim\u00e9ricos topogr\u00e1ficamente microestructurados con agujeros o postes de entre 100 y 4  \u00c2\u00b5m2. El manuscrito se focaliza en estudiar los efectos de las microestructuras en la organizaci\u00f3n interna de la c\u00e9lula, concretamente, en la morfolog\u00eda de org\u00e1nulos citoplasm\u00e1ticos como el aparato de golgi. Tambi\u00e9n trata el efecto de las microestructuras con postes en la morfolog\u00eda y en la migraci\u00f3n celular y determinar el papel de fak en mecanotransducci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s se ha estudiado si las microestructuras causan una impresi\u00f3n en la membrana de las c\u00e9lulas que desencadenan se\u00f1ales intracelulares de forma similar al que producen las nanoestructuras y si las integrinas est\u00e1n involucradas en estos mecanismos de transducci\u00f3n producidos por est\u00edmulos externos. Y por \u00faltimo, se han investigado los efectos del tratamiento con pma en la morfolog\u00eda y en la migraci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas sobre substratos microestructurados y su capacidad para recuperarse. Todos y cada uno de estos estudios nos han ayudado a conocer mejor los mecanismos de mecanotransducci\u00f3n involucrados en las respuestas celulares a est\u00edmulos externos como los causados por la
