Para permitir una segregaci\u00f3n fiable de los cromosomas en cada hija, la c\u00e9lula forma el huso bipolar.  nek9, el miembro de la familia de quinasas nima-like ha sido propuesto para desempe\u00f1ar un papel en el la asamblea del huso bipolar y en la v\u00eda cromos\u00f3mica de ensamblaje de los microt\u00fabulos. Nuestro objetivo era lograr una mejor comprensi\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n nek9 caracterizando nek9 de xenopus, xnek9, utilizando el sistema de extracto de huevos de xenopus.  hemos demostrado que xnek9 probablemente no actuar\u00e1 a trav\u00e9s de la cascada de las quinasas xnek9 &#8211; xnek6 en la meiosis como se describe para nek9 humano en c\u00e9lulas som\u00e1ticas y por lo tanto pueden tener diferentes sustratos. Adem\u00e1s, hemos demostrado por el agotamiento, la adici\u00f3n incrementada de flag-hnek9 y un enfoque dominante-negativas que xnek9 es importante para la formaci\u00f3n del huso bipolar. Adem\u00e1s, hemos demostrado que el agotamiento xnek9 causa una disminuci\u00f3n de la densidad de los microt\u00fabulos en los husos bipolares y una formaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s lenta de asteres inducidos por rangtp. Se identific\u00f3 xnedd1, la prote\u00edna adaptadora para el \u00c2\u00bfturc, como un interactor y sustrato novedoso de xnek9.
