El prof. Ghadiri y colaboradores descubrieron los nanotubos pept\u00eddicos formados mediante el autoensamblaje de d,l-\u00c2\u00bf-ciclop\u00e9ptidos, estos compuestos demostraron tener m\u00faltiples aplicaciones en los campos de la biotecnolog\u00eda, y la nanotecnolog\u00eda.   en esta tesis doctoral se estudia una nueva familia de nanotubos pept\u00eddicos formados mediante el autoensamblaje molecular de \u00c2\u00bf,\u00c2\u00bf-ciclop\u00e9ptidos. Esto se realiz\u00f3 mediante varios proyectos diferentes: en el primero de ellos se estudi\u00f3 la capacidad de dimerizaci\u00f3n para ciclop\u00e9ptidos en los que se alternaban \u00c2\u00bf-amino\u00e1cidos y \u00c2\u00bf-amino\u00e1cidos-\u00c2\u00bf,\u00c2\u00bf-disustituidos. El segundo era demostrar la formaci\u00f3n de nanotubos mediante el autoensamblaje molecular de los \u00c2\u00bf,\u00c2\u00bf-ciclop\u00e9ptidos, esta nueva familia de compuestos fue caracterizada
