Esta evoluci\u00f3n ha permitido aumentar la frecuencia de operaci\u00f3n obteniendo como resultado sistemas caracterizados con un gran consumo de potencia. para sistemas inal\u00e1mbricos de altas capacidades de procesamiento y bajo consumo, como mb-ofdm uwb, el bajo consumo debe combinarse con altas frecuencias de funcionamiento (528mhz) lo cual aumenta la complejidad del dise\u00f1o. el objetivo principal de este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n es desarrollar una metodolog\u00eda de bajo consumo orientada a sistemas inal\u00e1mbricos de altas prestaciones usando las t\u00e9cnicas de reducci\u00f3n de consumo m\u00e1s avanzadas. para realizar la selecci\u00f3n de la correcta combinaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9todos y herramientas es necesario un conocimiento profundo de las fuentes de disipaci\u00f3n. Las librer\u00edas tecnol\u00f3gicas inferiores a 130nm disponen de una amplia variedad de t\u00e9cnicas de reducci\u00f3n pero el impacto de nuevos componentes de potencia aumenta. este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n propone el uso de arquitecturas de m\u00faltiple caminos de datos empleando m\u00faltiples dominios de voltaje y frecuencia, celdas con m\u00faltiple umbral de voltaje y opciones de apagado. a nivel de sistema se selecciona las t\u00e9cnicas de reducci\u00f3n de consumo m\u00e1s adecuadas para reducir el voltaje de alimentaci\u00f3n y la frecuencia de operaci\u00f3n, y apagar las partes inactivas del sistema. el an\u00e1lisis de consumo de potencia se basa en la informaci\u00f3n a nivel de puerta y la actividad de la simulaci\u00f3n de transmisi\u00f3n y recepci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, se incluye la estimaci\u00f3n de consumo del \u00e1rbol de reloj para aumentar la precisi\u00f3n de la estimaci\u00f3n. siguiendo la metodolog\u00eda de bajo consumo propuesta se consiguen implementar sistemas de alta capacidad de procesamiento y bajo consumo, reduciendo el tiempo de implementaci\u00f3n y las etapas m\u00e1s complejas de implementaci\u00f3n asic (s\u00edntesis
