El autor parte de un an\u00e1lisis de la historia de los bombardeos de terror, desde 1849 a 1937 (early terror bombing campaigns), para pasar posteriormente a estudiar la campa\u00f1a de bombardeos de terror que las fuerzas rebeldes materializaron en suelo vasco en la primavera de dicho a\u00f1o de 1937 (terror bombing in the basque country). Estos dos primeros apartados de la tesis se centran en el estudio del desarrollo te\u00f3rico y t\u00e9cnico de las herramientas mec\u00e1nicas y estrat\u00e9gicas que el ser humano ha desarrollado para generar y administrar el terror durante el primer tercio del siglo xx, con especial atenci\u00f3n a los bombardeos, principal herramienta del terror a partir de la d\u00e9cada de los treinta. Una tercera parte de la tesis (escrita en castellano bajo el t\u00edtulo atrocidades cometidas en euskal herria entre 1936 y 1945 a la luz de la legislaci\u00f3n internacional y problemas contempor\u00e1neos en torno a una definici\u00f3n de crimen, terror y genocidio) estudia los bombardeos de terror en el contexto de las atrocidades cometidas en euskal herria entre 1936 y 1945. Esta parte de la tesis analiza el concepto de atrocidad, crimen, genocidio y terror.
