En este trabajo se presenta la s\u00edntesis y caracterizaci\u00f3n de diversos compuestos de mn(iii) y mn(ii) con diferentes ligandos carboxilato (clorobenzoato, dicarboxilatos arom\u00e1ticos y dicarboxilatos alif\u00e1ticos).  se ha realizado el estudio de la actividad catalasa de todos los compuestos sintetizados, observando que los compuestos de mn(iii) son m\u00e1s eficaces que los compuestos de mn(ii) y que la actividad catal\u00edtica depende del tipo de ligando carboxilato puente. como los iones manganeso son paramagn\u00e9ticos, tambi\u00e9n se han estudiado las propiedades magn\u00e9ticas. La resoluci\u00f3n estructural de la mayor\u00eda de compuestos sintetizados ha permitido establecer correlaciones magneto-estructurales. Adem\u00e1s, en el caso de los compuestos polinucleares de mn(ii) se han realizado los espectros de resonancia paramagn\u00e9tica electr\u00f3nica, observando que los espectros a 4 k permiten distinguir compuestos de diferente nuclearidad.  por otro lado, para profundizar en los conocimientos sobre magnetismo, se ha realizado una estancia pre-doctoral en el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n del profesor jean-pierre costes, en toulouse, donde se ha llevado a cabo la s\u00edntesis de compuestos heteromet\u00e1licos cogd con diversos ligandos amina-imida. La resoluci\u00f3n de la estructura cristalina de varios de estos compuestos ha permitido comprobar que el tipo de interacci\u00f3n magn\u00e9tica depende del entorno de coordinaci\u00f3n de los iones
