Dentro de esta problem\u00e1tica la colisi\u00f3n de veh\u00edculos con animales salvajes constituye un serio problema, no s\u00f3lo en el campo de la conservaci\u00f3n sino tambi\u00e9n en materia de seguridad vial. Esta tesis doctoral se centra en los accidentes de tr\u00e1fico con fauna en las carreteras de castilla y le\u00f3n, la regi\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola donde el problema alcanza unas dimensiones mayores. Para el estudio se trabaj\u00f3 con los partes de accidente registrados en la regi\u00f3n durante el periodo 2002-2008, lo que permiti\u00f3 realizar un an\u00e1lisis de la situaci\u00f3n actual y evoluci\u00f3n reciente para las principales especies: jabal\u00ed sus scrofa, corzo capreolus capreolus, ciervo cervus elaphus, lobo canis lupus, zorro vulpes vulpes y tej\u00f3n meles meles. Para tratar de reducir esta tasa de atropellos hasta l\u00edmites sociales, ambientales y econ\u00f3micos aceptables, se ha profundizado en los factores involucrados en dichas colisiones. Los atropellos no se distribuyen al azar, ni en el espacio, ni en el tiempo. En el espacio tienden a concentrarse en determinados tramos o puntos negros que re\u00fanen una serie de caracter\u00edsticas concretas en cuanto a paisaje circundante, par\u00e1metros de tr\u00e1fico y el grado de presencia humana. En el tiempo tambi\u00e9n se concentran en unas determinadas fechas y horas. Conocer y comprender dichos factores espacio-temporales nos facilitar\u00e1 la selecci\u00f3n de la medida mitigadora m\u00e1s adecuada en cada caso. Adem\u00e1s exploramos la posibilidad de emplear las bases de datos de atropellos como fuente de informaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
