Se han analizado distintas variables con objeto de determinar el alcance y las limitaciones de ambos m\u00e9todos, incidiendo muy especialmente en la estereoselectividad del proceso. Se desarrollan tambi\u00e9n versiones asim\u00e9tricas bien empleando un auxiliar quiral unido covalentemente, bien utilizando ligandos quirales. La aplicaci\u00f3n de los mencionados procedimientos ha permitido llevar a cabo la s\u00edntesis asim\u00e9trica de hexahidropirroloisoquinolinas 10-sustituidas y tetrahidroquinolinas 2,4-disustituidas, partiendo de sustratos enantiom\u00e9ricamente puros derivados de l-prolinal y (r)-2,2-dimetil-1,3-dioxolano-4-carbalde\u00eddo, respectivamente. En ambos casos, la reacci\u00f3n de carbolitiaci\u00f3n tipo parham transcurre con total diastereoselectividad para la construcci\u00f3n de anillos de 6 miembros mediante procesos
