En primer lugar se estudi\u00f3 la adaptaci\u00f3n a baja intensidad de luz de pld., Clathratiforme. Los espectros de emisi\u00f3n de fluorescencia demostraron en esta especie la presencia de bcl c y bcl d en el mismo clorosoma. Pld clathratiforme mostr\u00f3 dos tipos de respuestas al crecimiento a bja intensidad de luz. En primer lugar increment\u00f3 selectivamente el contenido espec\u00edfico de bcl d (95%) mientras que el contenido espec\u00edfico de bcl c s\u00f3lo se increment\u00f3 en un 32%. En segundo lugar aumento el tama\u00f1o de los clorosomas as\u00ed como su n\u00famero.  a continuaci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 un estudio de la din\u00e1mica espaciotemporal de chloronema sp., En lagos de los estados de michigan y wisconsin (usa) para determinar sus diferentes morfotipos. Se identificaron cinco morfotipos que se diferenciaban por el di\u00e1metro de los filamentos. Posteriormente, el estudio de la diversidad del 16s rrna de bacterias verdes filamentosas (bvf) en los lagos americanos realizado por dgge revel\u00f3 un gran n\u00famero de secuencias correspondientes a especies a\u00fan no descubiertas sugiriendo que la diversidad en los lagos es superior a la inicialmente estimada.  fu posible enriquecer en el laboratorio el morfotipo de di\u00e1metro m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o a partir de muestras naturales y se caracteriz\u00f3 su composici\u00f3n pigmentaria y la composici\u00f3n de la antena fotosint\u00e9tica. Chloronema sp., conten\u00eda   bcl c y bcl d, localiz\u00e1ndose ambos pigmentos en el mismo clorosoma en forma de una mezcla de hom\u00f3logos muy heterog\u00e9nea, donde aparec\u00edan mol\u00e9culas de bcl esterificadas con una gran variedad de alcoholes (geranilgeraniol, hexadecanol, cis-9-octadecanol).
