A lo largo de estas p\u00e1ginas tratamos de ofrecer una ex\u00e9ges is de lo simb\u00f3lico alejada del irracionalismo, que d\u00e9 cuenta de su inserci\u00f3n en el conjunto de la filosof\u00eda de j\u00e1mblico, otorgando un valor central a los textos.   el acercamiento ha tenido lugar de un modo paulatino y gradual, hasta llegar a introdu cirnos en el coraz\u00f3n de lo simb\u00f3lico, ofreciendo los n\u00facleos de sentido que se nos revelaban en cada tramo de nuestro itinerario. Este itinerario de investigaci\u00f3n ha constado de tres fases: la primera de ellas acomete un primer acercamiento al sentid o del s\u00edmbolo en el de mysteriis. En esta fase se nos muestran con claridad dos perspectivas en el tratamiento de lo simb\u00f3lico: una perspectiva ontol\u00f3gica y una perspectiva epist\u00e9mica. Bajo la perspectiva ontol\u00f3gica el s\u00edmbolo viene a revelar su \u00ednti ma conexi\u00f3n con la imagen. Bajo la perspectiva epist\u00e9mica, aquella que dice relaci\u00f3n a la capacidad cognitiva del alma, el tratamiento de lo simb\u00f3lico se bifurca en dos tipos generales de s\u00edmbolo: el s\u00edmbolo anal\u00f3gico y el s\u00edmbolo unitivo. Este \u00faltim o, el s\u00edmbolo propiamente te\u00fargico, por su centralidad en la obra que nos ocupa ha demandado la mayor parte de nuestros esfuerzos. La segunda fase se ocupa de la cuesti\u00f3n del s\u00edmbolo y el conocimiento, ubicando el lugar que ocupa lo simb\u00f3lico en la c artograf\u00eda epist\u00e9mica que delimita el de mysteriis. La tercera fase de nuestro estudio se encarga de la naturaleza del s\u00edmbolo como itinerario abierto de liberaci\u00f3n del alma. En este itinerario tres etapas perfilan el modo de despliegue de la potenci a epist\u00e9mica que guarda el s\u00edmbolo: la catarsis, la muerte y la reminiscencia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
