Los resultados ponen de manifiesto el papel fundamental de hpure2 en la homeostasis del ca2+ y establecen una estrecha relaci\u00f3n entre la v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de la calcineurina y la v\u00eda de asimilaci\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno.  Hpure2 regula los niveles de ca2+ intracelular a trav\u00e9s del factor transcripcional hpgat2, que induce la expresi\u00f3n del gen de la ca2+-atpasa pmr1. El contenido de ca2+ en el re-golgi, modula la entrada extracelular del cati\u00f3n actuando sobre sus niveles citos\u00f3licos y en consecuencia sobre la activaci\u00f3n de la calcineurina. La  calcineurina, a trav\u00e9s de la regulaci\u00f3n de los niveles del factor transcripcional hpgat1, participa en la desrepresi\u00f3n de los genes de la asimilaci\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno. Asimismo, la calidad de las fuentes nitrogenadas regula el estado de activaci\u00f3n de la calcineurina. Las fuentes de nitr\u00f3geno no preferidas disparan el contenido intracelular de ca2+ activando la calcineurina a diferencia de las preferidas. Por tanto, el ca2+ act\u00faa como segundo mensajero en la asimilaci\u00f3n de nitrato actuando en la se\u00f1al de desrepresi\u00f3n. Por otra parte, la caracterizaci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica de hpure2 revel\u00f3 que presenta actividad gst frente al \u00e1cido etacr\u00ednico y gpx frente al per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno, as\u00ed como frente a varios hidroper\u00f3xidos org\u00e1nicos y que participa en la detoxificaci\u00f3n de cadmio y cobalto.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
