Para la disoluci\u00f3n de los aniones en las muestras s\u00f3lidas se emplea la bomba de combusti\u00f3n para el tratamiento de los carbones y un proceso de lavado para la ceniza,la escoria y los filtros de chimenea.  se seleccionan condiciones de an\u00e1lisis adecuadas para los distintos analitos en las distintas matrices. Para la determinaci\u00f3n de metales traza se emplean en funci\u00f3n de la concentraci\u00f3n del elemento que se quiere estudiar, la espectroscop\u00eda de absorci\u00f3n at\u00f3mica con detector de llama ya coplada a generaci\u00f3n hidruros y a vapor fr\u00edo, la espectroscop\u00eda de absorci\u00f3n at\u00f3mica con atomizaci\u00f3n electrot\u00e9rmica y la espectrometr\u00eda de masas con atomizaci\u00f3n por plasma acoplado por inducci\u00f3n. Para la determinaci\u00f3n de cloro y fl\u00faor se emplean: cromatograf\u00eda i\u00f3nica, electroforesis capilar y electrodos selectivos. se determina el ion cianuro por espectroscop\u00eda uv-vis.  la aplicaci\u00f3n de los m\u00e9todos seleccionados permiti\u00f3 evaluar las emisiones  de las distintas centrales t\u00e9rmicas, as\u00ed como caracterizar los residuos s\u00f3lidos y gaseosos generados. Con esto, se ha pidido estudiar el comportamiento de los distintos elementos en el ciclo de combusti\u00f3n.  se han determinado los factores de enriquecimiento de los distintos elementos en la ceniza y la escoria y se ha calculado la distribuci\u00f3n de estos entre los distintos residuos.
