Este patr\u00f3n estructural natural parece conveniente para obtener una agregaci\u00f3n unidimensional que conduzca a la formaci\u00f3n de fibras. En nuestro dise\u00f1o biomim\u00e9tico se ha seleccionado una secuencia m\u00ednima de cuatro amino\u00e1cidos anticipando la posible agregaci\u00f3n mediante la formaci\u00f3n de hojas beta antiparalelas y se ha flanqueado con diferentes fragmentos (alqu\u00edlicos, arom\u00e1ticos, con grupos funcionales, con centros quirales, etc) de cara a modular la solubilidad en los diferentes disolventes, adem\u00e1s de introducir interacciones intermoleculares adicionales (van der waals, apilamiento pi, etc). Se han realizado estudios de gelaci\u00f3n, y los materiales obtenidos se han caracterizado a nivel macrosc\u00f3pico (aspecto f\u00edsico, estabilidad t\u00e9rmica, concentraci\u00f3n m\u00ednima de gelaci\u00f3n), a nivel microsc\u00f3pico (estudios de microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica de barrido (sem) y de transmisi\u00f3n (tem)) y a nivel molecular (ftir, cd, rmn, difracci\u00f3n de rayos x). Los resultados de estos estudios han aportado informaci\u00f3n muy \u00fatil para comprender el papel que juegan los sustituyentes alqu\u00edlicos en el proceso de autoensamblaje, y que permiten
