Complementariamente, el uso de modelos celulares ha puesto de manifiesto su papel anti-tumoral in vitro. Por otro lado, estudios an\u00e1logos sugieren el comportamiento del gen adam7 como un protooncog\u00e9n. Adem\u00e1s, hemos generado y caracterizado ratones deficientes en adamts-12  y poliserasa-1, e iniciado la generaci\u00f3n de un modelo murino deficiente en adamts-15. Finalmente, hemos descrito la inhibici\u00f3n espec\u00edfica de un derivado natural, la luteolina, sobre las agrecanasas adamts-4 y adamts-5, apuntando su potencialidad  terap\u00e9utica en
