Este tipo de materiales se construye mediante una asociaci\u00f3n precisa a partir de mol\u00e9culas de bajo peso molecular. En esta tesis se han desarrollado un grupo de gelantes que poseen en su estructura grupos catal\u00edticos. Para ello hemos utilizado mol\u00e9culas con una estructura com\u00fan derivada de l-valina que permite la introducci\u00f3n de diferentes grupos funcionales manteniendo las propiedades de formaci\u00f3n de geles. la incorporaci\u00f3n de unidades funcionales derivadas de porfirina, piridina y trifenilfosfina a dado lugar a materiales con propiedades catal\u00edticas regulables y a cambios en la eficiencia de la cat\u00e1lisis. Mediante el empleo de este tipo de geles supramoleculares se han obtenido metalogeles de paladio y metaloporfir\u00ednicos y se han evaluado sus principales propiedades como gelantes y como
