La alergia a mostaza se ha asociado con hipersensibilidad tanto a otros alimentos de origen vegetal como al polen. En  estos procesos de reactividad cruzada no est\u00e1n implicados los al\u00e9rgenos de mostaza descritos al comienzo de este trabajo, ya que se trata de al\u00e9rgenos espec\u00edficos de semillas, sin a 1 (alb\u00famina 2s) y sin a 2 (globulina 11s), sin hom\u00f3logos en frutas o p\u00f3lenes.  los resultados obtenidos en esta tesis doctoral han permitido identificar, aislar y caracterizar estructural e inmunol\u00f3gicamente dos nuevos al\u00e9rgenos de mostaza amarilla, sin a 3 (ltp) y sin a 4 (profilina) implicados en reactividad cruza da con alimentos de origen vegetal y p\u00f3lenes. Dichos al\u00e9rgenos se han producido de forma recombinante y los productos obtenidos y purificados presentan equiValencia estructural e inmunol\u00f3gica con los correspondientes al\u00e9rgenos naturales. La disponibi lidad de estas mol\u00e9culas, junto con los al\u00e9rgenos espec\u00edficos de semillas sin a 1 y sin a 2 previamente caracterizados, ha permitido establecer asociaciones y correlaciones a nivel cl\u00ednico y molecular en pacientes al\u00e9rgicos a mostaza. As\u00ed se ha deter minado que sin a 1 es un marcador de sensibilizaci\u00f3n a semillas de mostaza, sin a 2 es un marcador de severidad de s\u00edntomas y sin a 3 y sin a 4 son marcadores de reactividad cruzada. De esta forma, el trabajo derivado de esta tesis doctoral ha contri buido a mejorar el diagn\u00f3stico y gesti\u00f3n de los pacientes al\u00e9rgicos a dicha especia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
