Finalizada esta d\u00e9cada la obra de soto no s\u00f3lo se ha constituido en epitome del arte cin\u00e9tico, sino en representativa de una propuesta art\u00edstica que se propon\u00eda como alternativa a la polaridad que caracterizaba la guerra fr\u00eda (c.1948-1989). En este per\u00edodo, francia y venezuela establecieron relaciones \u00c2\u00bflegitimadas en una latinidad internacional- con la aspiraci\u00f3n del reconocimiento de su autonom\u00eda como parte de un mundo multicultural y desterritorializado. Los entornos desmaterializados de soto emerg\u00edan como alternativa a la representatividad de la democracia que significaba el expresionismo abstracto norteamericano. Proponemos la obra penetrable de soto representativa del desplazamiento de la atenci\u00f3n de la historia hacia fen\u00f3menos de ruptura -que reconoc\u00eda foucault-. En esta tesis confrontamos los enfoques disciplinarios sobre el arte \u00f3ptico y cin\u00e9tico, para estructurar un discurso que reconoce en la construcci\u00f3n de un entorno desmaterializado el potencial pol\u00edtico del espacio de la calle bajo la premisa humanista de la socializaci\u00f3n del arte que se correspond\u00eda con el pensamiento social dem\u00f3crata. palabras clave:
