La integraci\u00f3n de este tipo de materiales en dispositivos convencionales como los sensores qu\u00edmicos,  puede mejorar las caracter\u00edsticas de los mismos dot\u00e1ndoles de una alta sensibilidad y r\u00e1pida respuesta.  Estas caracter\u00edsticas son fundamentales en la detecci\u00f3n de gases t\u00f3xicos como el formaldeh\u00eddo,  ya que la legislaci\u00f3n establece unos tiempos cortos de respuesta y l\u00edmites de detecci\u00f3n muy bajos.  la mayor desventaja de los sensores conductom\u00e9tricos desarrollados hasta el momento es la falta de selectividad y estabilidad. Por ello, este trabajo se centra en la aplicaci\u00f3n de materiales nanoestructurados (nanohilos y pel\u00edculas delgadas formadas por nanopart\u00edculas) como material sensible, para desarrollar un sensor de gas de alta sensibilidad y especificidad al formaldeh\u00eddo.  Se han estudiado tres materiales distintos: pel\u00edculas delgadas de \u00f3xido de n\u00edquel y \u00f3xido de wolframio y nanohilos de \u00f3xido de esta\u00f1o.   se ha realizado una profunda caracterizaci\u00f3n de los \u00f3xidos semiconductores, para relacionar sus propiedades \u00f3pticas, estructurales y el\u00e9ctricas con las caracter\u00edsticas sensoras. Adem\u00e1s, se ha propuesto un modelo del mecanismo de conducci\u00f3n para los tres casos, bas\u00e1ndose en resultados experimentales.  Asimismo, se ha estudiado la influencia de las condiciones de fabricaci\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n en las propiedades sensoras de los prototipos. Finalmente, se ha realizado una comparaci\u00f3n de los resultados obtenidos mediante los materiales en forma pel\u00edcula delgada y nanohilos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
