Se valoraron el grado de discapacidad de los sujetos, la sensaci\u00f3n de dolor y el umbral de dolor a la presi\u00f3n del m\u00fasculo, con un seguimiento de un mes. los resultados mostraron unas diferencias estad\u00edsticamente significativas a favor de los sujetos incluidos en el grupo experimental en el grado de discapacidad, la sensaci\u00f3n de dolor y el umbral de dolor a la presi\u00f3n. Estas diferencias se mantuvieron, al menos, un mes despu\u00e9s de la intervenci\u00f3n.     abstract the objective of this study was to investigate the effects of dry needling in the low trapezius muscle in patients with craniocervical pain of myofascial origin. the seventy-two subjects included in the study were divided into two groups: the experimental group received treatment in the pgm3 of the low trapezius muscle, and the control group was treated in a healthy area near that point inside the same muscle. The subjects&apos; degree of disability, sensation of pain and pressure pain threshold were assessed, and monitored for a month.  the results showed statistically significant differences in favor of the subjects included in the experimental group, with regard to degree of disability, sensation of pain and pressure pain threshold.
