En los a\u00f1os 90 existieron serios problemas de contaminaci\u00f3n de las aguas superficiales y subterr\u00e1neas por nitratos (200 mg\/l de no3-) en gran parte del acu\u00edfero.El inter\u00e9s inicial fue investigar los procesos de atenuaci\u00f3n de nitratos, ya que se daban  las condiciones id\u00f3neas para dichos procesos. Sin embargo, a medida que avanzaba la investigaci\u00f3n, fueron surgiendo nuevos interrogantes sobre aspectos relacionados con la propia din\u00e1mica e hidroqu\u00edmica de las aguas subterr\u00e1neas. As\u00ed, se decidi\u00f3 no centrarse \u00fanicamente en los procesos de atenuaci\u00f3n de nitratos, de los que ya hab\u00eda suficientes evidencias, y centrarse en los nuevos interrogantes, especialmente teniendo en cuenta las variaciones espaciales que se observaban en un espacio tan reducido y la heterogeneidad que se observaba tanto en la geolog\u00eda como en la hidroqu\u00edmica y respuesta de ni\u00e9veles piezom\u00e9tricos.Tras el exhaustivo estudio hidrodin\u00e1mico e hidroqu\u00edmico se ha determinado una detallada red de flujo, con los procesos de recarga\/descarga y se han determinado diferentes tipos de aguas subterr\u00e1neas con diferente procedencia, gracias a la variedad y combinaci\u00f3n de metodolog\u00edas utilizadas: an\u00e1lisis isot\u00f3picos, tomograf\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica, ensayos recuperaci\u00f3n, hidroqu\u00edmica de minoritarios y traza, etc..Se han caracterizado aguas subterr\u00e1neas someras (paquete cuaternario), aguas subterr\u00e1neas profundas (provenientes de las margas y flujos regionales (lavado evaporitas) y aguas de mezcla de ambas, denominadas \u00c2\u00bfan\u00f3malas\u00c2\u00bf. El objetivo final ha sido obtener un modelo conceptual que recoja toda la informaci\u00f3n hidrogeol\u00f3gica recogida en el humedal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
