Para ello se analiza y define, en primer lugar, la construcci\u00f3n de lo femenino desde diferentes puntos de vista. Se trata de definir la identidad, en particular, la femenina, y co nocer su proceso de construcci\u00f3n. Posteriormente, se reflexiona con una perspectiva de g\u00e9nero sobre aspectos como la salud y la terapia. Se estudian las investigaciones en arte y en terapia con un enfoque feminista. La tesis hace un recorrido por una  muestra de mujeres artistas que han utilizado su arte como una suerte de terapia personal: diane arbus, louise bourgeois, frida kahlo, ana mendieta, leonora carrington y remedios varo. Se estudian su biograf\u00eda y su obra, plante\u00e1ndose tambi\u00e9n posible s propuestas para realizar en sesiones de arteterapia con mujeres, inspiradas en ellas. En la segunda parte de la tesis se exponen varias experiencias de talleres o sesiones de arteterapia realizados con tres colectivos diferentes de mujeres: mujeres  maltratadas, mujeres enfermas mentales y mujeres con trastornos de la conducta alimentaria. En cada uno de estos tres apartados se expone adem\u00e1s un estudio de caso. El punto de partida de la investigaci\u00f3n es el arteterapia, inscribi\u00e9ndose tambi\u00e9n la  misma dentro de los estudios de g\u00e9nero.
