Adem\u00e1s, se sabe que los paradigmas de condici onamiento cl\u00e1sicos provocan un aumento a largo plazo de la excitabilidad neuronal en las neuronas de ca1. A lo largo de la tesis, mediante experimentos de patch-clamp en fijaci\u00f3n de corriente y voltaje en neuronas piramidales del \u00e1rea ca1 del hipocam po, se demuestra que el d\u00e9ficit de hormona tiroidea altera la excitabilidad intr\u00ednseca de dos formas antag\u00f3nicas o contrarias durante las primeras semanas postnatales. Por un lado, incrementa la excitabilidad a trav\u00e9s de las propiedades pasivas de me mbrana (aumento de la resistencia, disminuci\u00f3n de la capacidad y despolarizaci\u00f3n del potencial de membrana) y por otro lado la disminuye a trav\u00e9s de las propiedades activas (aumento de la corriente a, disminuci\u00f3n de la corriente t y disminuci\u00f3n de la  corriente de sodio voltaje-dependiente). Estos datos revelan nueva informaci\u00f3n de gran importancia para entender los d\u00e9ficits cognitivos que causa la ausencia cong\u00e9nita de la hormona tiroidea, planteando que alguno de los problemas de aprendizaje as ociados al hipotiroidismo pudieran estar relacionado con los cambios en la excitabilidad intr\u00ednseca descritos en esta tesis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
