Estos trealosal\u00edpidos son producidos principalmente por rhodococci. La mayor\u00eda de las acciones biol\u00f3gicas de estos trealosal\u00edpidos biotensioactivos se relacionan con su capacidad de perturbar la bicapa fosfolip\u00eddica.  esta tesis doctoral ha dirigido su investigaci\u00f3n hacia la caracterizaci\u00f3n de las propiedades biol\u00f3gicas y qu\u00edmicas de un succinil trealosal\u00edpido bacteriano producido por rhodococcus erythropolis, estudiando la interacci\u00f3n del trealosal\u00edpido con membranas modelo y membranas biol\u00f3gicas, la interacci\u00f3n con prote\u00ednas modelo (alb\u00famina y citocromo c) y realizando un estudio del efecto del trealosal\u00edpido sobre la actividad de la spla2 pancre\u00e1tica, todo ello con el fin de establecer futuras nuevas aplicaciones para este compuesto.  biotensioactivo, trealosal\u00edpido, membranas, permeabilizaci\u00f3n, fosfol\u00edpidos, eritrocitos, alb\u00famina, citocromo c, spla2. abstract biosurfactants are surface active amphiphilic compounds of biological origin and, because of their low toxicity, biodegradable character, effectiveness at extreme temperature and ph values, there is an increasing interest in considering these natural lipids as potential alternatives to their chemically synthesized counterparts trehaloselipids are bacterial biosurfactants produced by rhodococci. These compounds have been shown to present several interesting biological activities. It has been suggested that the interaction with the membrane could be the ultimate responsible for these actions. This thesis presents a detailed molecular level study of a succinoyl bacterial trehalose lipid produced by rhodococcus erythropolis 51t7 interactions with artificial phospholipids membranes and biological membranas, and the trehalose lipid interactions with bovine serum albumin and citochrome c, used as a general globular protein model. Finally, this work includes a detailed molecular level study of the mechanisms of inhibition of pancreatic spla2 activity by trehalose lipid, in order to establish new potential future applications
