Se han hecho c\u00e1lculos de la respuesta de superficie, la densidad electr\u00f3nica inducida en superficies con el prop\u00f3sito de analizar las fluctuaciones de la densidad de carga inducida por perturbaciones externas, la dispersi\u00f3n de los plasmones presentes en estos sistemas con particular inter\u00e9s en las excitaciones de baja energ\u00eda debidas a transiciones intra he interbanda en monocapas de ag, un sustrato de be cubierto por una monocapa de k. As\u00ed mismo se ha hecho un estudio sistem\u00e1tico de las propiedades diel\u00e9ctricas de los sistemas basados en la intercalaci\u00f3n de grafito (graphite intercalated compounds -gics-) con el prop\u00f3sito de establecer una correlaci\u00f3n entre la llamada banda de intercapa (\u00abinterlayer\u00bb band) y la presencia de plasmones ac\u00fastico, los cuales presentan una dispersi\u00f3n lineal con energ\u00eda cero cuando el momentum transferido es cero. Los c\u00e1lculos de la tesis se han llevado a cabo con el formalismo de la teor\u00eda del funcional de la densidad independiente y dependiente del tiempo (dft, td-dft) haciendo uso de la aproximaci\u00f3n conocida como aproximaci\u00f3n de fase aleatoria (rpa).
